Oh my heck you guys. What even is life?!
Sorry I haven't written on here in literally MONTHS. It's not like anyone reads it anyways, but just the other day I remembered why I started blogging... for ME. So that one day I can look back and see and read about all the things that happened in my life, the things I learned, the good, the bad, and everything in between.
So with that being said, these last couple of months have been a roller coaster to say the least.
January was great! I was excited to start a new year with new goals and determined to work towards a better me. I learned to appreciate the little things in life, I "saw" snow for the first time and fell in love. I also got in my very first car accident. Don't worry, it wasn't a huge deal, my car just slipped on ice and I hit a car, but no one was hurt. I made a lot of tamales, played laser tag, went to the gym, and went to the temple a lot.

February was AMAZING. Biggest blessing was going to Cancun for Erick's wedding ♥ I can't even begin to describe how incredible being in Mexico was and being able to see my brother after almost 7 years. I got to meet my niece Maylee which was also a huge blessing. It was literally the vacation of my dreams. Xcaret, Mercados, Tulum, Explor, and so much more happened. I'll write a post just about Cancun sometime. Other great things that happened in February, I baked a lot of cookies, I started hanging out with new friends (and still old friends), I went to a free Jazz game, and I had stake conference.
During March, things just got better and better. I went to two weddings, I threw my first bachelorette party for my best friend Erika, I went camping with some friends, I went to more homecomings, I went to a funeral, swam in some hot springs, changed my major... again haha, and went to California for Erika and Roberts wedding!! ♥
And here we are in April! So much has changed in such little time, but all we can do it keep on swimming and keep on smiling. In April I have had a mission reunion, gone to more homecomings, I've had my heart broken, I've gone to a lot of plays/concerts, and I've had way too much to eat.
My best friend Ary is in Living Legends and we went to their fireside just two weeks ago and it was amazing ♥ I also went to the BYU Men's choir performance... also amazing. It was my moms birthday this last weekend and I took her to the ballet, and then the next day we went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Easter Concert, it was beautiful. Then EASTER was amazing and a much needed day to reflect on the Savior and what He did for us.
I think more than anything, these last couple of months I've learned to rely on my Savior Jesus Christ. I've learned (once again) that I CANNOT do life without Him. When you learn to turn to Him and give everything of yourself to Him, that is when you will feel a change in your life. I promise that life is hard, but if you let yourself get down and get sad, Satan is just sitting there laughing his head off because he knows he got to you. Don't let Satan win! YOU GOT THIS!
When life gets too hard, remember to just take it one day at a time; and if that's too much, then take it one hour at a time. That's what I've had to do and I promise, it gets easier.
Find simple things in life that make you happy or make you smile, and write them down. Don't forget that life is good, and God is good.
Love, Z
